Sarah & CJ7

For the record, this is the CJ7 lookalike toy that Yi Por bought for Sarah. The infamous one that Sarah was scared of. But it also scared most of the boys who were there at Sarah's 1st year birthday party.

And who can blame her, it's loud in color and noise and movement. What is this animal??? She must be thinking.

But, she has since overcome her fear of it.. after many dances by Gu-gu, Daddy, mummy.. and everyone else. She dances to it now.. Yeah!!!

Klang Klang Klang Klang Klang.. with Sarah

Hi hi, yes! Mummy KohKwek is back in Klang with Sarah. We took AirAsia, which was a steal! Sarah was very comfortable on the takeoff and napped only near the landing.
Who would be there to fetch us but Gonggong and PorPor and Jess! After a hesitant reunion, the two hit off really well.
Here are some photos of the adult dinner - there's plain rice and guava slices on the plate, both Sarah and Jess are sharing.

They are really cute, keeping themselves busy eating and then some stuffing of each other, too bad I didn't catch those instances.

Here is the rabbit tricycle that is new for Sarah! Jess is really good around Sarah, always looking out for her, never fighting with her. We think it's because Sarah calls her Jiejie.

Close up of Jess.. now who does she remind you of??? hehehe

20th Sept, 2008 - A Swim with the Lais

So, ahyi said that Sarah looks unimpressed at Tumble Tots. We decide to try something different this weekend. I called spice gal Adeline and she told me she and Mark were bringing Josh for a swim at the NSRCC. Lennard & I were game.

In the morning, Lennard & I split jobs - I will go marketing, while Lennard will get Sarah and our bags ready. We were ready to leave by 9am, and got there in no time as it was really near our place.

NSRCC - National Service Recreational Country Club is a club for Singapore National Service men, but it is pretty much open for the public. The place is big and spacious, ample carparks and lots of amenities. We will definitely be back another time.

After a quick breakfast with Mark and Adeline, we finally got to the pool side at about 10am.

Sarah really enjoys the pool.. as is evident here..

Little Joshua also had lots of fun...

Sarah has to put on sun-block a second time...

The great things was, both Lennard & I took turns to have our 2-laps at the adult 50m pool.. exercise and fun altogether!!

Here is saying bye-bye and fly-kiss to Mark, Adeline & Joshua..

16th Sept, 2008 - Sarah learns to zip

Yes.. everything that your child learns, is just so amazing. So here is a first recording of Sarah - zipping and unzipping my bag.

I did this today...

Japanese Gift Wrapping...

I'll have to write about the details another day, I'm afraid. When I have the wrapping paper and ribbons and all.. :)

It was fun.. about 15 of us, gathered in one meeting room for a "Lunch and Learn" session. And this session was about Japanese Gift wrapping. Notice how they always have at least 2 kinds of wrapping paper combined, no tape visible. Nice ribbon. This took about an hour to do, really fun and easy.

I kicked my Yoga instructor..

...accidentally.. of course...

During yesterday's yoga class, one of the stance that we did was the handstands. Inversions are supposed to help bloodflow to the brain, helps you become smarter (not) ;). I've done shoulder stands endlessly but never done a handstand.

So when my instructor offered to help me into the pose, I gleefully said yes.

I get into my fours, perpendicular to the wall, my hands very near the wall. Then I put my head down onto the floor, my hands supporting my head. and what I am supposed to do, is to kick my legs up and throw it to lean against the wall, and my instructor will be right beside me, holding my hips steady.

And kick I did, with the wrong foot. My instructor was watching out for the other foot.. so the wrong foot went flying landing into her eye socket.. ouch..

It shocked her, although later she assured me that it did not hurt. I'm so filled with remorse..

I am very very sorry, Sam.. you can torture me for the next 4 weeks, as you much as you want..

Tumble Tots Trial - Continued

The other activities that Sarah tried was the Walk the Plank

And crawl the tunnel - this is no mean feat. The first time Sarah saw this tunnel, she did not want to crawl through it.
Note: the person gushing all over Sarah in that aw aw aw voice.. hahaha, me in not such a glamour moment ;)

She was really hungry and tired before the class ended, so here I was giving her milk during class. hmm..

Of course, after the class, Lennard & I decided to go for a nice breakfast at Swiss Bake. The muesli toast slice - was the best. Seen half eaten on my plate. With butter, it was ooo-la-la.

After that we did abit of shopping while Sarah took a 30 minute nap on the road. There was a quiet spot in Isetan, where Lennard could shop for his shoes, while Sarah slept on the couch meant for shoppers to sit down to try shoes. hehe..

To end the day on a high note, we decided to let Sarah try some Yoghurt Ice-cream as her mid-day snack. This was her reaction. Nope, I don't think the ice cream at that shop was nice at all.

Tumble Tots Trial

This Saturday, we signed up for a trial Tumble Tots class at Parkway Parade. The class starts at 9:30am, so we planned ahead to get my morning marketing out of the way, and started off to Parkway at 9:00am, getting there in good time.

The 1st 15min is free play time. The teachers let out 3 balls, one for each kiddo in the class. Whoopee, says Sarah.
Balls and Handphone - current favourites of Sarah's, are used to lure her through the exciting obstacle course.
At the end of the course, there is a slide.. One, Two, Three, Whhhheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Here's Daddy helping Sarah to shortcut the process by just getting on top of the slide.
