Sillypore Zoo!!

Today marks Sarah's first trip to the Sillypore Zoo. We got there about 10, abit later than planned. Lenny & I were famished so we had a quick breakfast at KFC before going into the zoo.
The weather was hot and humid, so you can see Sarah started off already a little withered by the heat. But at least it was not blazing hot nor was it raining.

She was happier running along wherever she wanted actually.
The first "animals" we saw were these bright colorful parrots. They were big and little intimidating.
And then there were the monkeys.
Along the sidewalk, Sarah had a good game of picking pebbles off the plank and onto the sides.
We went to watch the sea animals perform at the Splash! theatre. The performing seal, Philip, was very very funny. I was very entertained watching him. But we only have photos of the penguins here.
And this is a red koala and her mummy :)
At the far end of the zoo, is a place called kidz world, where there is a new wonderful waterplay area. There is a little air-conditioned shop within, and you can see Sarah regaining her strength there.
The waterplay area, looks like a lot of fun, but it was already too hot and late in the morning, so we had to move on. We will be back!!
At the end of that morning, you have one TIRED TODDLER and one TIRED MUMMY. Daddy is driving :D

Sarah on the way back to Sillypore Sept08

Here are the photos taken on the way back to Sillypore. Our AirAsia flight was at 7pm, so gonggong, porpor and yipor sent us to the LCCT. We were only right on time, I think about 6pm. After checking in, we took a bunch of photos.

Unfortunately, Sarah didn't sleep much that whole day, and didn't sleep much on the flight back. Plus she had to get use to being confined in her child seat again back in Singapore.
She was one grouchy baby that night (and not the only one who was grouchy ;) )

Sarah in Klang Sept 08

Go Go Bambini

Two Fridays ago, L, myself and Sarah planned to go to the Botanic Gardens with the Tan family. So we were 2 merry couples, with 3 gorgeous gals.
As it turned out, it was raining cats and dogs that day. So we changed plans and instead went to this place recommended by Mrs. Tan - Go Go Bambini. It's a small-ish indoor play area, with a ball pit, maze/obstacle course, slides and so on.
At the entrance, I was so excited to go into the maze, but Sarah was dawdling with the toy car... she can get on and off by herself now, thanks to the practise she gets at home.
Finally, after what seemed like 10 minutes to me, she went for the ball pit. She was a little bit overwhelmed by the balls at the beginning, but soon got the hang of navigating in it.
A very friendly big sister, Melissa, joined Sarah at the ball pit. She was there accompanied by her domestic help, I think.
After the ball pit, we met Melissa again at the trampoline. Here, she demonstrated to Sarah how to bounce on the trampoline. When we were done, she offered to join us in this photo.
After the trampoline, Melissa offered to bring Sarah to the highest point of the maze, where she will be able to slide down in the twister slide. In restrospect, I am thankful for that cos I wouldn't be able to goad Sarah up 3 stories of obstacle course!! And amazingly Sarah, being warmed up to Melissa, started to follow her. So I followed them to the highest point of the maze!
aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!! and finally we are out from the slide.
Can you tell that Sarah is all geared to go again??!!
Some quiet time after the kids and I are tired from the maze
Phew.. but how very fun!

Are you a Japanese?

Dear Sarah, your daddy would like to record down your sounds of exclamation, when you accomplished a task or see something wonderful.
The box of puzzles that Aunty WY bought you has been one of your favourite toys. You would not let it pass you if you catch sight of it, always asking us to open the box. Until recently, Daddy or Mummy would fix up the puzzle, and you would tear it up.
But these few days, you are ready to let us guide you put two pieces together on the simpler puzzles. And once you put them together, you make these "aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh" sounds that tickles us silly. They remind us very much our favourite Japan travel program.
So we've asked you a couple of times, "Are you a Japanese?"

With Sarah at McDonald's

Hello, the KohKwek blogger is back. So I now have a whole bunch of photos, which I have to cook up stories for.
Hmm.. let's see. I think I was craving for McD's, not quite Sarah yet. hahaha. So this must have been a Friday morning when L and I were both not working.
Sarah didn't like pancakes much. "Give me savoury over sweet anytime!!" She preferred the hashbrowns.
And of course, after sitting down for 15 minutes, L and I will let Sarah have a go at the little playarea outside.
So here are some photos..

Sarah currently still loves walking up and down STEPS.

Sarah & CJ7

For the record, this is the CJ7 lookalike toy that Yi Por bought for Sarah. The infamous one that Sarah was scared of. But it also scared most of the boys who were there at Sarah's 1st year birthday party.

And who can blame her, it's loud in color and noise and movement. What is this animal??? She must be thinking.

But, she has since overcome her fear of it.. after many dances by Gu-gu, Daddy, mummy.. and everyone else. She dances to it now.. Yeah!!!
